What: At the edge of Beverly Hills, a collection of luxury flats, townhome and penthouses in West Hollywood by two of LA architecture’s most notable practitioners– Marmol Radziner and R&A Architecture and Design– unsurprising since innovations in residential architecture practically began in WeHo with Rudolf Schindler and Richard Neutra after a brief flyover by Frank Lloyd Wright, touching down at the Hollyhock House.

The Team: Marmol Radziner, one of Santa Monica’s most influential architecture (and recently, design/build) firms and the relatively new but equally surprising, multi-discipline R&A Architecture + Design, both with a deep bench of experience– and developers Faring and DM Development, both bringing impeccable taste and of course, their financial confidence in exceptional design. What We Love: The interlocking, angled exterior along Doheny is perfectly scaled for the neighborhood but nonetheless visually radical and compelling. Not unlike what Schindler or Neutra might have produced if they’d had the available technology.
